Our story
PJCO was founded in 1989 by Peter Jarman after leaving a large national accountancy practice with a clear vision: to provide business owners with a more personal, practical, and dependable accounting service.
Over the years, that commitment has remained at the heart of everything we do. The firm has grown steadily, supporting hundreds of businesses across a wide range of industries while building long-lasting relationships based on trust, expertise, and straightforward advice.
Developing people has always been an important part of our story. We have proudly helped many aspiring accountants begin their careers, guiding them through their professional qualifications and supporting them on their journey to becoming ACCA-qualified accountants.
More than 40 years on, our approach remains the same: providing clear advice, building strong relationships, and helping businesses thrive.
Today, PJCO is led by a team of partners who started their own careers within the firm. Their experience, combined with a shared commitment to delivering practical solutions and exceptional client service, helps ensure we continue to meet the evolving needs of our clients.
We are now a team of around 30 professionals, including a number of apprentices working towards their qualifications. As the firm has grown, we’ve been proud to receive recognition for both the quality of our services and the way we invest in our people.
